MaliaMiss Malia Babycakes!
August 02 July 2008July was a busy month!! We left right after Daddy's birthday and drove to see lots of friends in upstate New York. I was really good in the car too! Grammy stayed and took care of all the animals for us; she is the greatest! We stayed with Carla and Eric and their kids, Nathaniel and Hayden. We got to see Erin's family who lives in New Mexico. We played all week and went to Lake George and swimming! The water was so cold; Daddy said he could now say he has been to Antarctica it was so cold! We had sparklers and fireworks for the 4th of July; it was neat! On the 4th we had Olivia's 1st birthday party; she is Erin's youngest litlte girl. There was a bouncy house which I wasn't too sure of at first - but Daddy showed me how much fun it could be, and then I didn't want to get out! We had cake and ice cream and I helped Olivia play with her new toys! We had a great time! The next day we got back in the car and drove home. Grammy said I have grown so much since we were gone. I am talking more and in sentences; and talking and talking and talking. I love to dance! I love to take care of my babydoll and she goes everywhere with me. She has her own carseat and stroller and sleeps with me every night. I rock her to sleep and sing her Rock a Bye Baby; she really likes it. I have been playing a lot this summer and love the little pool and slides in the backyard! I have been helping Mommy alot to get ready for the new baby: putting baby clothes in the dryer and picking out toys. I am looking forward to having a little brother; like another babydoll! Take care and don't get too hot!
June 15 Malia's 2nd Birthday partyI had a super birthday party again this year and had all kinds of Elmo stuff! I had an Elmo cake, balloons, toys and more! I even got a really cool Power Wheels Barbie Jeep! Mommy and Daddy got me a goldfish just like Elmo has, and her name is Dorothy too! My friends came over and we all got into the pool and under the sprinklers! We had such a blast, you gotta see my pictures! Thanks everyone for such a great day!
Video: Malia dancing to Hannah Montanajj Video: Icy Malia June 07 June 7thHi everyone! We have done a lot this month! We went to the Children's Museum, the beach, the Strawberry Festival and more! Plus lots of playing in the yard! For Grammie's birthday we went to Busch Gardens and had SO much fun! I got to play in the kiddie water park there and I didn't want to leave! They had a carousel with lots of horseys and mine was white with pink and purple flowers on its saddle. We rode the cable cars high up above the park and it was fun! We stayed there all day and Mommy said I was really good. The Chilren's museum was fun, but it wasn't as big as the one in Houston. I got to drive a bus and a firetruck; go shopping for groceries; make bubbles with Daddy; and more!
I had to go to the doctor for a cough I had and they took my measurements. I am 27 lbs and I am 35 inches tall!!! Mommy couldn't believe I was that tall - and I don't turn 2 until next week.
We went to the beach and Mommy and I shared a cherry snowcone, yum yum! We both had red lips. I got to play on the big playground there too, and it was great!
I am using my words very well. I can say sentences like : Kyta is a naught kitty cat; Mommy put that in there, and more! I am talking more and more and putting words together like crazy! Bye for now!
May 09 So Grown UpI am growing up so fast! No more pacifier, no more bottles; and I'm wearing pull-up pants since I started potty training!
Grandpa Pope came to visit in March and stayed a few days and tickled me so much! We went to stay with Auntie Stacy in Wytheville, about 5 hours west of here, and had a good time. Stacy's mom Debby, wanted to keep me! Her dog, Domino really liked me too, and sniffed a whole lot! Then I moved into a big girl bed--its a full size, and I feel so grown up! For Easter we went to church with Great Grandma, Great Grandpa, Grammy, Mommy, and Daddy. After church they had a helicopter drop plastic candy filled eggs onto a field for me to pick up! That was really neat. The Easter bunny brought me a new pair of shoes, a big coloring book and new crayons. It finally got warm enough to play outside on my slide!
We got a good picture of Mommy giving Daddy a card to tell him that I am going to have a baby brother in September! I got to see the baby on the big TV at the doctor and said "baby"! I am not sure what all this means just yet. I like to play with my baby dolls a lot and put them in the stroller and highchair and feed them bottles. I like other people's babies, but I am not sure about having one at my house.
Mommy and me and some friends went to Bluebird Gap Farm and saw lots of animals and then I got to feed the deer. Then we had a picnic lunch and we played on the playground.
Mommy and Daddy took me to the zoo and we saw SO many animals! I really liked the prairie dogs and the lions. We went to the barnyard part of the zoo and saw a cow, MOOOO!
I like to dance a lot too!! For Cinco de Mayo we had fajitas and Daddy played some Mexican music to dance to! It was fun!
A few days ago my friend Jaycie came over and played in my new sandbox and Mommy and Jaycie's mommy set up the sprinkler for us to play in. We had so much fun and got sand everywhere so we got to take a bath together, that was fun!
