Introducing the new Wonder Baby - Corbin!!

Corbin James Franklyn Pope was born on September 10th, 2008 at 5:12 p.m. at Langley Air Force Base Hospital, Virginia. He was 9.0 lbs and 21 inches long, and so cute! Malia now has her very own baby brother! She really loves him too; giving him lots of hugs and kisses; making sure he is happy and has everything he needs. Malia is a great big sister and a very good helper too. Daddy took 2 1/2 weeks off of work to help out with the new baby and play with him.
Grandpa Pope and Aunt Rachel came to visit right after Corbin was born. They made sure to make Malia feel special too. It was nice to have family near to help out too. Grammy, Norman's mom stayed with Malia while Mommy and Daddy were at the hospital. When they brought Malia to the hospital to meet Corbin; Malia really wasn't sure what to think at first. Make sure to check out the video below of Malia holding Corbin for the first time.
The cats aren't very impressed with the baby; but cats are good at ignoring everything but themselves. Laika, our fuzzy dog, is the best puppy mommy ever. Now that she has 2 kids to look after, she is very busy. She is very concerned about the new baby, and any noise he makes, she is right there to investigate. If a stranger is holding the baby, she is right next to them making sure the baby is okay. We went to the neighbor's house the other day and after we went inside, Laika barked and barked until we brought the baby back out; she had to make sure he was okay. We are very lucky to have such a good dog!
For now, we are just adjusting to lack of sleep and having a new baby and a 2 year old!! We hope everyone is well!
